I did a lot more to the bike and should have some more pics up by wednesday, its in the shop I had an oil leak I was chasing, I had the whole primary off 3 times trying to figure it out and finally got frustrated enough that I just had to drop it off somewhere before I broke something! it turned out to be a race on the tranny shaft slid back and rode into the seal on the tranny wiping it out and making both the tranny and the inner primary seal leak, heres a pic of a new jims race that is suppose to fix this problem and not allow the race to ride in to they tranny seal.
Okay, dumb question, but what's that thing (looks like a cable of some sort) coming down from behind the a/c and toward the tranny? Just me, but that is a distraction. Whatever it is, I'd re-route it or black it out.
What were we talking about? Oh yeah...Cholos. They look awesome. Fits the look of the bike. As mentioned above, I'd pull the pillion when not in use and also lower it a bit.
BTW, your ol' man was lucky if all he had to do was wait in line overnight to get the bike he wanted. Most back then had to be on a waiting list for over a year... And you're a lucky sumbitch for getting a free bike...
Thanks Shane! I am lucky my olman's a good sh*t! i'm pretty sure thats the breather hose you're talking about, And I did lower it 2" since that picture was taken

good, that was the one thing i thought it needed! post an update must look so much better
ok so since those photos were taken I lowered the front 2" with a progressive lowering kit and just an LA choppers manual adjustable hime joint kit to level out the bike, (I'm gonna get air suspension when I get a little more $$ but for now the $80 hime joints are what I'm working with) While I had the front end apart I took my lower legs over to a local chrome plating shop and exchanged them for some chrome ones for $209 out the door, wow those look great! they sanded down all the casting marks and the showa, well worth the money! I also put a chrome lower belt guard, had my rear floorboard brackets chromed from that same shop, put on a chrome slanted tag bracket, new chrome 16"x3.5 rear 21"x2.15 front fat spoked straight laced wheels wrapped in metzler me880 wide whitewall tires... I'm debating on weather or not to put on the rear crash bars...? but like I said when I pick my bike up from the shop I'll take some more pictures I just didn't because I was too busy trying to fix that leak! I was going crazy
I just went thru a buncha Evo bike pics on the Internet and from the looks of it, some have that breather hose and some seem to be missing it. On the ones with it, it seems a lot less noticeable than on your bike. I never noticed it before on any Evo I've seen (and I've seen thousands) until I saw your bike. Not ripping on your bike at all. Looks sweet, but I would do something about that breather hose so that it's less of a distraction...
Damn, you're on it! Good job and glad to hear of the latest mods. I'll be looking forward to the most recent pics as well. That's gonna be a real fine machine when you get it all dialed in

Alot of guys route them that way to dumb the vent oil down the to the ground so there is no mess on the motor/breather etc. I did the same but I ran a black line so you cannot even notice it. I know mine from the factory was routed through the breather.
