what size engine if its tc88 with the cv carb throw in a #46 jet and shim the needle with 1 #4 washer then should be around 2.5 turns out on the mixture screw that will get you real close.

I have a 48 pilot and 180 main on my 1996 Heritage. I'm gonna try a 46 pilot jet soon as I'm running a little rich and getting 40-42 mpg solo, and 38mpg 2 up and loaded. Try those and you should be close. I kinda guessed toward the rich side when I put in the EV 27 and had the heads done.

This is very interesting because the a/c is on a carb it ain't designed for. I mean my s&s is simple enough because the directions are great, the videos are great and they are just great in general.
What is your carb model?
