Wow, a lot of old heads in this part of town who think they know better.

Get the ABS, it's only a matter of time before it becomes standard.

There are several people here saying they don't want or need ABS and it is true that bikes have been around for a hundred years with out them; but to me my safety is first concern. Do a google search for "youtube motorcycle abs" and judge for yourself how important them are. You will find several video showing a compairison between bikes with and without ABS. In each case the bike with ABS stops faster and stays in a straight line. Where the bike without ends up turning sideways.

Gir....It's not a question of knowing better, it's just knowing what we 'old heads' like and are used to. A great analogy here is in woodworking....They've come out with a tablesaw that stops instantly if skin touches the blade. Like Abs, a great thing to have. The thing is that having used a tablesaw, and ridden without ABS, for so many years I like many others am used to doing things a certain way. You're probably right about ABS becoming standard in the future, and maybe it will affect the resell value slightly, but I for one don't buy a Harley looking at the resell value. I buy it looking at enjoying the ride, and I just don't enjoy ABS.

if the bike comes with ABS then fine , if it doesnt , its still fine ,
ive had cars and bikes without it and im still here ,
at the end of the day i would rather have dual front disc brakes that work well like my fat bob has , rather than the **** front brake with ABS that they stick on the fat boy ... just my 10 pence worth

Watch the Videos for sure. I've made a few panic stops and it worked great. I won't buy another without ABS.

Im all about having the newest technology on a bike.
My Lo was my first bike with ABS, although i havent had a need to use them yet, im glad i have it as a backup.

To me, its a no brainer. The keyless alarm is an icing on the cake.
Great to not have to worry about keys. Just put the fob in your jeans and you are good to go.

The security is nice, but ABS is a must. The only thing that would wever get me to see my Night Train is to get a bike with ABS.

Been riding bikes for years without ABS, then got a BMW that came with it .. to tell you the truth, it didn't interfere with my style of riding at all ... you don't even know if it is there, until that stupid idiot in his cage pulls out of his driveway right in front of you ...

Don't have ABS on the current bike, but wouldn't mind having it.

I agree with you about the lack of dual disks on a bike of this size.
At least give the buyer an option.
