did yours come with the foam gasket? If so, I did not wrap the gasket around the bucket, I just pushed it up against the headlight.

Yes, it is the frenched style ring. I will check out part # 69738-05. Thanks!

Yes, there was a foam gasket inside the trim ring. So you didn't use that gasket at all? Maybe that will make a difference! After all, the stock one doesn't have a foam gasket.

I think it would give you the look you are after. This is a 7" version in the pic below on my Lux.

I think I found the issue. I think I need part # 69624-99A....not 69623-99A. Apparently 69623-99A says it fits 94 and later FXST but part # 69624-99A specifically says 07 and later FXSTC models. Duh! The dealer probably sold me the wrong one....hopefully they have the right one but I doubt it.

I think I like the frenched style look more than the other one because I'm not crazy about the visor. My turn sigs don't have a visor.

Gotcha. It looks like they have the visor rings on them in your sig pic. But, I guess they are frenched rings.

Thanks for the help... imma figure this crap out even if it kills me.

I am going to try the one I have again in the morning without using the foam padding on the inside....it may fit after all.

I used the foam ring, I just didn't wrap it around the bucket. Just let it sit inside the ring and push it up against the face of the headlight.

Oh, I see. That's actually what I did. I think I have the wrong part anyway so I'm going to take it back and hope they have the correct one.

There are numerous reports of HDs headlight rings not fitting properly. I tried one an even the dealer couldn't get it to fit right. Any product that comes with some aluminum tape to cover the gap is a terrible product IMO. I ended up getting a Cobra headlight which looks much better. I don't know what model to recommend to match your setup, but I would definitely recommend a whole new light over a trim ring. I ended up selling my stock headlight bucket on eBay for what I paid for my new Cobra one so it was actually cheaper than a $30 trim ring.
