Hey guys, I'm riding a '95 FX Springer with a LePera Silhoutte solo seat. Just can't hack it anymore. I need some back support. I like the Corbin Gunslinger, but lots of $$. I would be fine with solo or 2-up. Something sleek for sure, but with more back support. Any ideas?
The Bare Bones has a little more support for the lower back. Had one... It was okay... looked great... but hurt my ***. I have a Saddleman right now that's similar to the Bare Bones... this one (https://www.denniskirk.com/saddlemen...ontent=Default)
Somewhere around 400 miles in a day is my limit on that seat... which is not bad for an fat old guy on a tiny seat. And it looks cool!
Edit: apparently I fail at the internet... link is taking me to a spark plug for some reason. While they're useful, they're not good to sit on.
It's the Saddleman 13 inch wide Tattoo Solo w/ Silver Stitching.

I have had a Corbin Gunfighter and is hands down the best seat I have ever been on. I wanted the solo look on my softail so have tried 3 others and they just did not offer the back support I needed. Needless to say I sucked it up and ordered a Corbin Fastgun Solo similar seating to the gunfighter but in a solo.
My buddies have all made fun of me for trying something other than Corbin (they all have corbins also) because yes they are expensive but worth the money.
i love the mustang solo seat, it has some back support with it as is, but you can add the support piece too. 1000 mile seat for sure, best i've ever rode with IMO.
The Mustang standard width vintage solo is super comfy without being huge. I highly recomend them. Had the standard width for my Springer and have the wide on my Fat Boy.

+1 Have the standard width on my Deuce and love it
C&C seats. If you want a backrest get the solo with a backrest, if not just get the regular solo as it has plenty of back support. If you want a 2 up get a fastback or something that will give your passenger a little more comfort. http://www.ccseats.com/Softail1984-06.htm
