Security Pager - do not lose that AC adapter!
Stopped by the dealership to see if I could get an extra security pager AC adapter (91672). The pager tends to lose charge if left off of power for long periods. Was hoping to have a charger at home and work... eliminate having to carry one around... while having piece of mind of actually using the pager.
Well, surprisingly, according to the marina del ray dealer, there is no way to order just a spare/extra power adapter!
Means if I need to replace one or get a spare... Need to buy a brand new pager setup at $80+... Hopefully, I'm just missing something and the folks at HD are just playing a cruel joke on me! although nothing surprises me anymore when someone can pull more money from you.

You just need the voltage and nipple size.
A quick search of item displayed this:
(AC-DC with Output of DC 4.5V 50mA for NorthAmerica) but recheck printing on back of AC adapter.
Try walking into a radio shack with the adapter and they should be able to locate a replacement alternative for you. The voltage output, current type, nipple size and polarity are the key but radio shack will figure it out for you and it should be less than $30

Thanks... Yeah, I tried the local Radio Shack and google searches... No luck so far... by the time I calculate the value of my time searching, I might just suck it up and buy the pager again at surdyke/others just for the adapter that I'll know will work.
If anyone has had better success, let me know.... Otherwise, glad I could vent.

That would explain why my pager wouldn't power up...it had been sitting for a while.
I had a power supply that had a switch to select from about 6 different voltages and the plug looked like a cross with 4 different sizes. I just did a search for "universal power supply 4.5v" and started seeing what I'm talking about. Hope that helps.

Radio Shack costs about 2 or 3 times more than ebay for simple stuff but they rarely let you go empty handed..at the least they inform you and you can purchase someplace else. A radio shack internet search is rarely able to solve anything for me.
