Sorry guys, but the words 'apes' and 'fairings' should not be used together in the same sentence. Just doesn't sound right.

Have you checked out the Memphis Shade? Trigger mount with no radio and you can change styles in seconds.

Yeah. I looked at memphis shades but I've heard for sure the apes won't work with that fairing and I'm wanting to do the stereo system. I'm down to reckless, woodys, our tsukayu for my choices. I like some others but the money isn't right for me. I want to save some to go towards hard bags later.

I have the Exotic Body Fairing with Wild One Chubby's. I do have pullback risers, but the apes will work without the risers. I called Memphis Shades and the women said that their fairing will not work.

Hard to believe that all those others work and a Memphis Shade wont. Something is screwed up there.

I decided to go with woodys but he said he is 8 weeks back ordered! So now I'm thinking reckless is the way to go since its american made. Anybody with experience with the stereo system in reckless? Should I upgrade to an amp? I want to be sure to hear it at highest speed, thats 90% of my riding.

I called and asked MS and the lady said the apes wouldn't work, so I moved on. Why go through the trouble if they say it won't work.

I bought a reckless fairing with the 6.5 speaker holes. I painted it and put a JVC stereo in it...Very happy with the way it all worked out.

I don't know much about stereos so what is going to sound the best from reckless offerings? The 2 6x9 speakers or the 4 5.25"? They only offer a bluetooth head unit from millenia now too. Anybody heard of that?
