I have 14" apes on my fatboy lo and I'm now looking to put a fairing on. I've searched everywhere I can think of for an answer to help me decide on which company to go with. Some of these look like no go for apes.
check this bike. If you like the bars in line with the forks (layed back). if you prefer the bars staight up then you will have to get hangers for fairings.
Mine are slightly forward of the fork line. I emailed glenn at woodys but I'm trying to figure out if it will work before he replies. I'm inpatient as hell. I live the looks of the street glide with apes. Just wanna make mine look like that. I saw some on the tsukayu site with apes. Might have to go that way.
Here is a link https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...with-apes.html to a previous conversation about it. What you will need to do is either get a set of gangster apes or a set of bagger apes. The apes that are put on street glides have a pretty big bend in them. What I ended up doing was getting a set of la chopper bagger bars which have the bend really low and not a pronounced. I have a link to some pics in the previous link. I am running a woodys fairing as well. Best value and quality for aftermarket fairing.
