Hey All,
I was researching this very question when I came across this 12 year old thread with no replies.
I've got a 95 Springer Softail FXSTS its not a classic its just a springer softail with a 16" laced rear wheel. I have a service manual but it isn't much help.
I'm looking to put a solid mag rear wheel on it but don't know the size or if all softails from that era (mid 90's) use the same rear wheel (or width)...I want to stay at 16" (or less if possible).
A Fatboy rear wheel from any year EVO model is a direct swap, same spacers, brake rotor, sprocket, etc.
The service manual will be of no help when you need to determine what fits what, that`s when the parts diagrams and a little detective work come in to play.

Those are my thoughts exactly. Thanks for helping me confirm them. Short of pulling the rear wheel to take measurements Ill keep looking for exact specs..
