I installed the radianz red LED rear turn signal bulbs and smoke lenses on my 06 FXSTBI. I have the brake turn module so they come on with my tri bar LED Brake/tail light and I have had guys that ride behind me complain that they are too bright. I left my fronts incandescent so I did not have to install a load equalizer, just wanted my rear signals to match my LED tail light. I will try to get some pics up for you.
Only quality ones are brighter. Radiantz and Custom Dynamics. I have Custom Dynamics and they are blinding! Get comments on how bright they. Lifetime warranty that they stand behind.
I have the HD turns front and rear as well as Kury LED headlights and riding lights as well. They are all much brighter than stock and definitely stand out in a pack of bikes. Easier on the charging system as well.
I changed out every light on my bike and added the Kuryakyn Constellation light bar.
You won't need an equalizer, the LEDs don't pull hardly any juice and they are BRIGHT.
Sorry, haven't learned how to post pics.
I've been led to believe that due to the low current the LED's draw there will be a need for a load equalizer for the indicator lights. (except a certain type of HD led's) If not you will get this really fast working of the relais and trouble with the hazard/alarm lights.
Just wondering if anyone has used the LED bulbs for their turn signals and tail? If so, are they brighter than stock? Any pics?
Most LED bulbs will be dimmer than your stock bulbs. Some are slightly brighter, but not enough to appreciate. If you want nice bright LEDs for your signals you'll want to go with an array. They're not cheap but they offer outstanding lighting. Here's a link for the units I have: http://www.customdynamics.com/harley...gnal_retro.htm

Yes, in most cases an equalizer is needed. But much better option is the Brake Light / Running Light / Turn Signal Conversion Kits. You can read more about them here: http://www.customdynamics.com/tailconversion_kit.htm
