Deuce Speedometer not working!

Default Deuce Speedometer not working!
I own a 2001 Deuce. Recently, the speedometer and odometer has stopped working. The speedometer remains at zero (regardless of the speed) and the odometer readout is no longer working. It does illuminate when the bike is on/running.

Does anyone have any tips on what the problem might be?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

snapped cable within sheathing. Been there, done that....

2001 Deuce as well. Speed sensor almost certainly. Mine was doing the exact same thing. Does it also stumble when coming to a stop and try to stall? I've heard sometimes you can just take it out of the trans and wipe off any accumulated metal filings and it might work. I just replaced the whole thing.
