The carb does help I would never go back to stock. 289$ from eastern performance.com I did cams years later and that made a even bigger jump well worth the money and sound

For a stock bike? Just put a dyno jet kit in. cv40 is a great carb. Unless you plan on some serious motor work.

Just put one on my '03 Electra, I couldn't keep it from coughing back thru the carb. & popping on decell. I tried every thing, finally bought one at bike fest in Salisbury, MD. I told him what I had( SE intake & SE exhaust) and he rejetted it, set the accelerator pump, needle position and approxamate idle adjustment.Brought it home , put it on, took it for a ride, fine tuned the idle mixture & it hasn't popped or coughed yet. I'M SOLD!

Mikuni is my choice of carbs. I put them on all of my carbed bikes.

Best carburetor for a modern Harley, hands down. You will not regret it. Much crisper throttle response with the direct operated slide. You might gain a couple horses at WOT, but it will feel much stronger at part throttle twists and accelerating.
