Default quick detach windshield

This will probably sound like an ignorant question but I am new to the harley world so figured you guys have a good idea of what's going on.

Coworker of mine has a left over quick detach windshield that came off a nightster (not sure what year) and I was interested in trying it out on my 08 Night train. As you can imagine, it doesn't fit but I'm wondering if there is hardware I can change out so it will actually fit, is that a possibility? I'm not a big fan of windshields but at 5 am and low 50s, I think I might like it. Thanks.

Is your Night Train equiped for a quick release windshield? If so, the easiest thing is to buy the right one to start with...windshields are your FRIEND. They keep the windchill in check (kinda) but the best thing is keeping the grasshoppers from hitting you in the face at 70 mph when you go for that fun ride with friends this spring!

I have a pretty much unused shield that I got for my 05 Train. Not sure of the fitment to an 08, but the p/n is 58341-96 and the hardware kit is 58350-96, and it has a windshield bag on it too. If you're interested, shoot me a message.
