Default compression release problem

This may be long but heres the deal: Back in Jan. I had the SE 103 stage 2 kit installed with MCR's. I pick up the bike and notice a hissing sound coming from my rear cylinder/head. I tell the service manager and they check it out and tell me that the CR is sticking. They tell me if it keeps doing it to bring it back. OK, no problem. Well it continues. So I bring it back and they put a new release in it and it continues. So I have to leave the bike there and call my wife to pick me up. They tell me they may have to order a new head. So I get the call and they did not have to order a new head, instead they tell me that when they drilled for the release that it was not drilled deep enough and that the release was not seating properly causing the compression to be released around the release itself causing the hissing sound and therefore not closing the compression release. All this was done in NY.
Fast forward to yesterday. Awesome ride with 2 friends here in NC where my wife and I now live. The MCR starts sticking again and I have to pull it up myself every time I start the bike. So I stop at the local HD dealer and have my emissions recall taken care of and purchase new MCR's. The service guy tells me that sometimes they stick or just go bad. I purchase new ones and go home to install. The old MCR comes out easy and the new one goes in just as easy. I made sure it was not crossthreaded. I put it in by hand until it was seated. I get my torque wrench to torque to the proper specs and nothing. I cant torque it, it just spins. Basically the CR can be pushed in or pulled out, as if the hole was drilled too big. I even checked the front head CR and it is solid. Is this something that can be fixed or do I need to get a new head now? If this cant be fixed well then this may be a good time for some performance heads. What do you guys think? Remember I live in NC, the work was done in NY. Im sure that if I were still in NY that the dealer would make it right. Now Im wondering if they tried to cover up their screw up or maybe I screwed it up but I know I did not crossthread it causing it to strip the threads. I would be the first to tell you if I did.

I'd go one up from a helicoil and have a threaded sleeve put in.

The problem you are facing is similar to a damaged Spark Plug thread.

An even better solution is if you can find a Compression Release that has a larger diameter/thread bore. Then have to Heads machined to accept the new Compression Releases.

BTW whatever excuse works for justifying some head work is always an advantage . . . LOL!
