Get rid of the rat rode header wrap. It don't go with your bike.
Well, it was either wrap them or have the extremely blued look on those pipes. Anyhow it is just temporary until I can get my oxygen sensor bungs welded into my V&H pipes. I have a thundermax tuner on it. I have thought about true duals with fish tails, but I keep getting told it will inhibit the performance. This bike set up like it is will scream.
Don't matter what I think, if you like it ride it, if you don't like it change it.
Didnt say whether or not I cared what you thought, I just wanted to see the wide variety of opinions that may be out there on my little experiment this evening. I didnt like the blued pipes, so I wrapped them. I didnt think it would look right but did it anyhow. And yeah, I kinda liked it... sorta like a chunky woman you would never be seen in public with lol!

Well then you are forgiven for the wrap. My brother has a 71 FLH with drag pipes and he hates the blue on them and does not want heat shields. So he is just going to black them out by having them ceramic coated.
I have a set of V&H drag pipes that I will be putting back on it. I will also be dropping the rear down some since my wife has her own bike and wont be on the back of mine anymore lol. And yall can leave my damn ape hangers alone! I love my ape hangers.
Nice bike but I agree, the heat wrap don't go with your bike. I don't care for it period but to each their own. It's your bike, do and ride as you see fit and with what makes you happy.

I think that black pipes would look worse than the wrapped pipes on this ride lol. I have to do something to be able to ride it in the meantime.
I dig it man. Id say throw your V&H pipes on there, and drop the rear a little and call it a day! I think it looks great. I might take the sissy bar off since your not riding 2-up but thats just me. You got the right idea IMO.
