Finally got my Batwing today, Was originally getting the Kuryakyn airmaster one in a great deal, unfortunately the shipping charges meant the vendor backed out, so I managed to get a deal on a Deadcentercycles item, to be honest it's the one I preferred all along as its quick detachable, got to say the quality of this fairing is superb, it comes in black gelcoat and the finish is that good that if my bike was black i'd be tempted to ride with it, it almost looks like its painted already, very impressive, no pics yet till its painted.
Back to the question, I'm still hankering after a set of Carlini Gangsters, anyone seen these bars on a softail with a Batwing, I realise it may split opinions as some people I know believe thet its not a good combo,
Be cool if anyone had pics to show me, assuming that is, that they will fit and not be fouled by the fairing.
did you install the batwing already? I guess I am asking about doing a dry test fit then making for sure your choice bars would work. I see my neighbor's Victory Xcountry and his apes are bent at the bottom, factory style, then come at his chest then up, gotta be 75 degree angle if not closer to a 90...
If that is your beach bar setup in your sig then I guess what I just wrote ain't gonna help.
Now I gotta wait and see this thread through to see if someone got em already.
Stop right there. Sell the fairy, I mean fairing, forget the bars and keep the bike as is, it's a cool looking scoot.
Totally know where your coming from, but I get bored real easy and this will sort of give me different options, not totally convinced to change the bars but the bagger option will be kind of fun, I do probably prefer the look without the fairing, but having some tunes will be nice.

Put the bags on, put the apes on, get a fork bag stereo from Powder Pro Joe (forum member/sponsor) and forget about the batwing all together
It's a small pic but it looks like beach bars in your avatar and if that's so then I'm all for you changing them out to apes. I've seen apes on Street Glides and liked the look.
The guy at Wide Open ( a batwing manufacturing company) has one mounted on a Fatboy with apes. It works as long as you pull the bars straight in line to the forks. I prefer mine pushed forward so it would be a problem. Didn't think it looked bad though.
