Ok, so I was only eleven miles away from the dealer while I was in the city for the dr. appt today. So while I was waiting for the second appot, I drove on over. Talked to the service rep, and the manager. They told me they were contacted by a member here. They wanted my name, address, and bike info. I asked why... very politely. They said they are going to get the truck/trailer and come pick the bike up, fix it, and deliver it to me.
I want to thank this member, and everyone else that has offered support help, and advice. One of the members called me just a little bit ago while I was typing this post out. Very sincere and courteous talking with me. It's not something you get every day from family and friends, much less strangers. This has been a blessing no doubt.
I want to thank everyone for all the help they've given.
The good news is the dr. gave me a report on the CT's. The fractures are all healed, and the skull section that was taken apart, and "glued" together, is looking great. He said it would be fine for me to do activities I'm interested in doing. Obviously, be careful, just in case; but it all looked good. He signed forms from his care that clears me to be back at work. Basically, the bones are healed lol.
I have to do some more appts for the neurological issues from the damage on my brain that still has side effects. I'll cross that bridge next.
Again, thank you so much everyone. I'm at tears just typing this post out from the overwhelming support from the community.
God I love it when the good side of humanity manifests itself. It happens so little these days, but when it does... it is usually epic. Like this!
To F34R: Here's hoping you heal up 100% and get to do everything you did prior to the accident.
To the forum member who arranged the dealership fix: There's a special place in Heaven reserved for you. How cool that you would help a total stranger in need!
