We caught someone doing that to a person Ultra a few years ago. Me & a friend made him stay by the bike & we had someone go into the store & we had the owner paged. Once the owner came out, we called the police but before they got there the owner of the bike took a key to the guys arms. I can still hear the guy screaming from the key sliding acrossed his arms.. The piece of **** deserved it & the cops told him he was lucky thats all that he did to him..
Sorry to hear that about your ride, some people just don't think before they do **** like that...
I'd have wanted to key his eyeballs and dick hole!!!! No good choad smoking shiteheads!
Yep, I sprayed all my tins with truck bedliner. The only precaution I'd take is to tape anywhere there is going to be a screw, gas gauge or a seat stud well, because it sprays on thick.
Aside from that it's super low maintenance, I just hose it off once in awhile. The black does show road dust a bit, but I find paint is the same way. Once it's on though it won't rust, fade, chip, ding, or scratch. And in the sunshine from a bit of a distance it almost looks like black metalflake due to the pebbled texture.
Edit: and it was way cheaper than painting, I think it cost me about $350 to get a full set of crossbones tins sprayed. Which is obviously way less than paint would cost.

Kudos to tlar1540, and his bud. Probably one in a hundred,( at best ), have the sack to deal with *** hats like that. I doubt I would have even considered reaching for my keys if it were my ride. Hope the owner was appreciative of your efforts.
Thanks but we just did what we would want others to do if it were our bike or vehicle.. A bit of advise if you don't want to confront someone doing something like this. Most of us have cell phones, pull it out & snap a couple of pictures of hte idiot doing it & then call the cops. At least then there is something to go on. We can't let a$$holes like this get away, we need to step up & help each other out!!
