If you ever want to upgrade the Thunderstar cast wheels, these new billet wheels from Forge-Tec fit your theme and paint set perfect. If I had your paint set, thesewould bea "gotta have" item...
They come in black powdercoat if all black is your thing..
The backrest is held on by the seat screw and one other screw. I can have it off and on in a few minutes. The backrest has a rubber backing to it. I can seeing it leaving a mark where it sits on the paint (I have the little 3m piece on most of the fender where it sits, but there is a small area where the rubber is directly on the fender). I plan on putting a small piece of microfiber cloth in between it and the fender. It does make the seat sit a little higher (just the width of the bracket which is about 1/4" thick.)
George - Those wheels do look sick. Just not in the budget for now, I figure with pulleys, etc, they have to be at least $2000 - $2500. I'll have to stick with my thunderstars for now. Wish I had a 200 tire, or I'd probably be all over them.
