Thanks, Your bike and Honkeys made my decision on bars! Almost went with Carlini Evil apes, but found some stripper bars on Ebay for half the price. I like your internal cables and might try to attemp them in the future. Are you also running all your wiring through them. Doesn't seem like their is enough room for all. A 180 would be sick, but I believe it would be very close on the FL front end. Isn't the FX front wider?
Thanks! only a few guys running strippers around here, def a great looking bar and not one you'll see everywhere. My wiring is in the bars, but since I'm running the GripAce, only 2 small wires for that on the left, and 2 small wires for the brake light switch on the right. Been toying with the idea of 160 WW front and rear. Still playing with photoshop to see what the different wheel options look like. I think the FX does have more space, maybe it's because the beer cans on the FL take up so much room.
Hadn't realised this post was about your bike, mentioned it on the Polish guys post, as I said there really nice bike if I had a Fatboy that's exactly how it would look, nice to see you ditched the semi tail dragger rear fender in favour of the Heartlands kit, bars suit it as well, if I wasn't so old I'd be tempted to sell my Train and get a Fatboy and copy you.
I have to come back to this thread. You have yourself one badass bike! A lot of my friends have seen ur bike from this thread. You have me thinking about chopping my fender and going with a wide tire. My OL thanks you :-)
It was nice to see Ur remark about the labor. Some in here just don't understand how much work it is to do some jobs. AND do it right.
I try to do as much as possible to her but somethings I just won't mess with..
Being old and with my messed up back I just can't get up and down anymore like I did when I was in my 40's and 50's. And if i do I'll be down for 2-3 days afterwards and taking pain pills which I hate to do. Clean her and change the oils is bout it anymore and I do that on the lift.
