Default Question regarding wheel fitment

I have a 2009 Night Train FXSTB. I am looking to put laced rims on my rear.

I have found a set of stock 2007 Deluxe FLSTN 40-spoke rims.

Will the 2007 rims fit my 2009? Same axle size?

2007 spec:
Front dimensions:140/75-R17
Rear dimensions: 200/55-R17

2009 spec:
Front dimensions:MT90-21
Rear dimensions: 200/55-R17

Thanks for all help.

Thumbs down

The 07 Deluxe...or any year Deluxe for that matter, does not have a 200mm rear tire. As far as I know they were/are still 16" with a 150mm tire. Also, 2007 had a 3/4" rear axle and yours is a 25mm. I believe the specs you have listed are for a 2007 Fatboy. So the simple answer is no, a Deluxe or Heritage rear wheel will not work.

Thanks - that's what I get for taking Bikez specs at face value.

I have seen a few newer FXSTC's with spokes so I'm sure there's a direct swap out there somewhere. Also, I would think a 07+ Crossbones rear wheel would be a direct swap for your Train if you want a black rim with chrome spokes.

If you find a set of H-D wheels you like, go to a dealer website such as Surdyke or House of H-D, look up the wheel and check fitment.
