i want to put the nacelle from old flh on my 2006 softail
anyone know if flh triple trees will work? is outside diameter of lower legs same as flh>? any input guys man id appreciate it
seems pretty simple just swap out the triple trees for the flh style that have the bosses on sides to mount the nacelle kit...anyone?
I guess with enough money anything "can" be done.....The neck, bearing cups, bearings, are different.....The forks of course are different but that wouldn't matter because your bolting on a whole new front end to a modified neck and or bearing assembly......All that aside.....I'm pretty sure you can just buy the FLH style nacelle kit for your softail...Hell they make them for metrics...
I agree with eddy. Just google harley freight train and you'll find a direct bolt on nacelle. Sell the stuff (assume you meant shovelhead FLH) to some one who will put it to better use, and use the proceeds to buy the correct stuff. Trashing valuable Shovel parts is nothing short of a biblical sin.... lol IMHO.
I have to agree with the previous. With a fat wallet anything is possible but it would be so much easier on the wallet and your time to just buy a Softail Nacelle kit. I got lucky and scored this one on Ebay still in the sealed factory box for 1/2 price.
yeah guys but i have an fxst softail have standard wide glide front end
i dont have the threaded bosses on the side of the trees....if i swap out the trees think i can run anything....i'd bet any harley tree would work somebody got a used set of trees with bosses?
