Do you mean you put a fuel tuner on your bike that tells you to remove/replace the O2 sensors? well, they make O2 sensor port bungs which are plugs for the pipes, so you just unplug the wires and remove them.. or you can just leave them plugged in.. it doesn't make a huge difference either way.
I've installed a thundermax with auto tune. Since installation I have not been able to link the unit. The unit has been tested and found to be working properly.
The tests show when it is hooked to the test unit it links, but when I add the module to my bikes wiring harness it won't link. I have changed nothing else other than the air filter.
I was wondering if the pre-existing wiring connectors to the original O2 sensors and the air box has anything to do with it.
TMax is connected to supplied O2 sensors. The thing will just not link, i feel that there may be an issue with the wiring harness, I have not moved or changed any wire connections. The unit has been pre-set for my bike but there is coughing through the air cleaner and I need to link the unit for diagnostic purposes.

If you have the correct model (for your year of bike) there should be no problem. Something isn't correct. Did you connect the ECM to the data port as well as the main harness? Unless you were having problems with your stock ECM there is something else going on.
To all those who took the time to offer suggestions, thank you.
Well, thanks to Thundermax support we have found the solution. Apparently with the Australian models there were wires in the ecm harness that needed to be removed. The exhaust and air box units were the issue. Have to say that I got great support from the TMax team.

AHA... you didn't tell us it was some foreign motorcycle!
Glad it worked out. I have spent a lot of time talking with TMax people... they were very tolerant! <grin>
