in a 200/55/17 i think you're limited to the D401, American Elite, and D407

i got 8500 on the orig 200/55/17 dunlop on my 07 FB.. the thing is, it chopped like hell and was garbage in the rain. I put a metz me880 on to replace it. i put just about 9k on it and it has about 1k miles or so left but am replacing it now due to rut season has me sidelined for a few weeks anyways. IMO, the metz 880 is a far better tire than the dunlop in the 200 series. I like the reviews i have read on the MCII's. If i can get 15K plus out of a rear 200 series Michelin i'll be happier then a monkey slinging poop at kids at the zoo.

I've tried all the major brands and keep going back to the Avon Cobras.
Great wet/dry traction, decent mileage and my bike seems to handle better with them than any of the others.

Geez , how can you guy`s get so many miles out of a back tire ...... I`m running Metz and I`m only getting about 5-6000 on the back tire. Either you guy`s don`t weigh much or you only ride a few months out of the year ......... maybe it`s the dry heat in the southwest that wears out the tires faster ...lol.

I average 6-7k on the Avons, any more and it's showing the cords.
Only got 4k out of one of my Dunlops.
Metz were the second worst.
