Hello all, Just brought home my new Heritage, I have about two hundred miles on it and I just noticed a noise coming from the valve train, It sounds fine when under power but it rattles when idling or slowing down, any suggestions, it has been in the low twenties when I leave for work in the mornings, could this have bent a push rod. This new 96" is very smooth, this noise just don"t sound right. I will try and make it to the weekend and then let the dealer look at it. Should I stop riding it until then or ride the hell out of it and let fate take care of it?
Well, if being stranded is not a concern, I would still ride it with the intent of bringing it back to the dealer soon. If something is going to break, better sooner than later.

Can't send this one back, waited too long for it. Maybe I am just hearing things, It is rattling moore than my 93 fxstc which has 72000 miles on it. I will just be patient and let the dealer look at it this weekend.
I have the same sound in mine and I was told its the sound of the counter balancers in the motor. Change out your mufflers with some louder pipes and you won't hear it anymore.

Exactly what i was going to say. You could ask dealer but if its what i think it is it is normal.
