Those shotgun shocks are certainly a great idea...but I just can't see how they can cost that much. You can pick up a set of high end Koni's for your cage for less than that.

Many factors contribute to retail price of shotgunshock and you cant compare an automotive products cost to a part made for Harley Davidson. First off automotive products are produced in the millions and shotgunshock is produced in the hundreds.ñThe price is consistent with our production distribution cost and price is inline with standard profit margin in motorcycle industry and at promo price of 1250, margin is less than standard. The value of product is with the increased performance and looks of the bike and the lifetime warranty means its the last air suspension bike needs.

Dude, you get what you pay for. It was not easy for me to fork over 1,250.00 for the Shotgun especially since it was a shot in the dark for me and no previous air ride experience. I did do a great deal of reading and studying of all the products out there though before I took the plunge. I have yet to hear 1 single complaint about the Shotgun shock, not 1 from 1 single person. You also pay for service as well. I have yet to hear 1 single complaint about JD's service. Try that with any other product out there or from a Harley Dealershit. The ONLY thing I am sorry about or a complaint I have is that I didn't do it sooner, nothing else what so ever about the system bothers me or am I unhappy with.. P.S. Save up or just pull the trigger on the Shotgun right now and you will never regret it, all of us who have one promises you that, or maybe I should let all the others speak for themselves. All those who have the Shotgun can chime in here and tell your story and if you are happy or not with the product or disappointed with JD's service.

I'm sure the shotgun is a great product but for me, the lowering collars work (and look) great. Is it as "good" as the shotgun? Of course not. Does it still ride really well? For me? Yup! One day I will get the shotgun but for now, while I do other things to the bike, the lowering collars are great and were easy to install.

No regrets here. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the Shotgun before any of the other stuff I bought. My next Softail will have it too.
Ash we are still bumming around Texas at a rally in Camp Wood at 3 sisters lodge, lots of cool people, check it out if you can

Hi people. I just ordered some of the collars as it has been said in your posts above,it is what i can afford at the moment, I am starting from scratch with a 2007 FXSTC and decided so far on SE slip ons and the rest of stage 1 next week.thanks for the input on this site.It is good to listen/read.and learn........ and yes I will be happy when the back goes down 1'5 and see how it looks, ghoticov#43. thanks for the thread with your before and after pics, that sold me.
