For me it would be which ever one you can get cheaper. The thing I do like about the Lo is that it has a few more things blacked-out. (oil tank, exhaust, fender struts) But since most people will mod. any way I have to say which ever one you can get cheapest.

1. Black or Chrome?
2. Wheels?
3. Color?
4. Everything else can be changed easily.

Do you like Flat black, or Gloss paint? I actually like both, but I also like certain things to be chrome, which is why I chose a standard Fatboy.

What's funny is I have a friend who bought a Fatboy Lo for one reason and one reason only.......he doesn't like to wash his bike.

This Exactly!... I dont care for Flashy, just isn't my style. I ditched as much chrome as possible on my Lo. I bet It hasn't been washed, REALLY washed, in over 10K miles. I pass a damp cloth on it every couple months, MAYBE. it's filthy as hell. and you cant really tell too much.

If I aint busy workin, I'm riding. I dont have time to wash my bike every weekend.

ETA: I love my Lo. rides great. I like it better solo than 2 up, but I do alot of 2 up. It is not uncommon for the OL and I to make 500+ miles in a day. Its comfortable enough for me, and apparently for her too, or she would let me know!....

To answer the OP question, I say you cant go wrong either way. they are both great bikes. Pick which fits your style better. Also, the LO, does have a lower seat height if you have a short inseam.

Well you have to pick the one you like the looks of more. Cause they are the same bike under all that chrome on one and all the black on the other. One sits lower and the other higher. Me its a Lo hands down if I were to buy a fatboy.
