Default Winter storage ? Re:tires

Had a convo w a work buddy about various options in regards to winter storage.
He said that he basically deflated his tires when he stores the bike.
His opinion was that it was better for the tires life expectancy not to keep them pressurized but not rolling for 3-4 months.
I had never even considered doing that w my tires for the winter
I guess my question is do any of you guys store your bikes with the tires deflated? And also what is the majority opinion on whether to deflate or just keep them aired up
My bike is stored indoors on concrete for the winter but not in a climate controlled environment just an insulated pole barn, if that matters

well once you take the weight of the bike off from the tires you're relieving the pressure from the sidewalls anyways.. so i doubt it really makes a difference..

Before I got the lift for my bike I always stored it on the floor of my uninsulated garage with the tires full of air. I never had a problem with the tires cracking or rotting or anything else. It seemed like the tires would wear out and need to be replaced before the storage conditions were a problem.

As was said if the bike is raised don't see the point in deflating them? .....

Ok thanks for the replies its not something I've ever done or heard about
Just my work buddy brought it up and I thought if ask about it
Even with the weight off the tires the air is still keeping 42psi of pressure on the rear and 32psi on the front and his belief was that relieving that pressure during the winter was healthier for the tires
I don't think I'm gonna be changing the way I store the bike
Thanks
Sean

I've always kept the tires off the garage concrete by driving onto carpet patches to reduce cracking... dunno if it actually helps, but I've had the same tires on bikes for 15+ years doing it that way.
