Winter mods
So, looking at a couple other threads it has me wondering what everyone is going to do during the winter months.
Yeah, we know there are those that have year round riding, but there are alot of us that put the bike up due to snow. There will be days though that I will break it out on a nice day.
Anyway, Since I plan on taking the wife to St Lucia for her birthday, the mod fund is going to take a hit.
But, I do plan on buying a power commander, thunderheader and new A/C. I am also going to swap the rims, sprocket and rotors for chrome ones as well as chrome lower fork legs in the front.
So, what does everyone have planned?

I just put mine away for the winter, already have the tins off to paint, adding new risers, pegs, badges, handlebar controls, wire everything internal, new seat, and few odds and ends. Basically cleaning it up, with a few upgrades.
Put both of ours on the rack Monday. Getting ready to modify the exhaust and cut up the engine guard to modify that as well. Once they're done, it's off for powder coating. Will install the new intake as well as a fuel mapping unit, probably the new Cobra system (still researching this item). I need a new tire on the rear, so will do that along with new brake pads while it's all apart. That should get me to about January. Not sure what else I'll tear into after that.
Got a pile of parts here and a bunch on order... RSD timing cover and finned rocker covers, Covingtons horn, Rear pulley to match my rotors, Chrome swingarm, Billet calipers...maybe some other stuff.
I probably wont start wrenching till after the holidays...one thing I just did was pull the belt covers off...and I totally dig the look, very minimalistic. Keeping it that way.

My 92 Heritage is getting a well needed face lift this winter . Getting Carlini 16" apes with braided cables , Mikuni carb with Kuryakn Hypercharger breather and to top it off a set of 42" samson Cholos , already changed out the head light went with a Truck lite .

Not much chance of good weather here until April so as I take things off, they will stay off until the middle of March. Doing a little at a time. Chrome bolt here, black paint there...Gonna pull the Primary soon. Hope theres nothing too ugly under there.

1st, my bike always comes down for a good cleaning and detailing. Also, 16" Gangsters, not sure on risers or cables as of yet and white hand grips. As of now, 39" baffled Cholo's then re-dynoed. Get seat re-worked with gel inserts, take a little off the top for a lower profile and done in a black and white pattern to match the bike. Then about 10 or 12 pieces to come off to be sent out for chrome. I also have 2 windshields and the smaller of the 2 I am going to have it blacked out with window tint.
