The compressor makes about the same amount of noise as those small compressors people use to inflate air mattresses, or the portable air pumps people have in their trunks to fill tires when they're a bit low. It's not going to be audible over anyone's engine noise, but you will definitely hear it if the bike isn't running.
the only thing and im mean the only thing that could make shotgun better is if it had a way to set preset setting for the shock. like once you found a setting you liked set it as preset 1, preset 2 could be bar hopping, preset 3 could be 2 up riding. that would be the only thing that could make shotgun shocks better. they are the best upgrade to any softail by far. finally got out with the wife last weekend and we took a road that normally she would have complained the whole time how bad it was. she leaned forward after we got off the road and she said its like a cadilac back here. smooth as butter.

You should patent that and charge JD for the idea rights

That is fkucin great idea (I had a Lincoln with seats like that - sooo handy)
I have one of those in one of my vehicles now. Why couldn't you get that switch from a junk yard and make one? I don't know, that's why I am throwing that out there, food for thought.
Great looking ride. As soon as I'm able to rack up the money,I'm going to buy one off JD. My buddy N2GZUS has one on his deluxe, and its freaking awesome.

That would be cool, another thing that I think would make it a little easier to adjust on the fly would be some sort of indicator to tell you where your ride height and rebound levels are. I know when I've been riding for a while and need to change on the fly I've hit the switches I thought I needed while rolling, only to get off and find I'd either slammed it by putting in too much rebound, or accidentally dumped the primary chamber air. Which really would explain why my lower back and kidneys felt like they took a beating after I got off the bike.
I've had mine on the bike since January, and have only been able to really get out and ride in the last few weeks. So far it's been awesome overall. Last week I had an oil leak from my transmission case, and I was kind of ddreading having to drop the shotgun shock to get to the drain plug where it was leaking. It actually wasn't bad at all, J&S jack to lift the frame and a floor jack to lift my rear tire and I was in and out in about 20 minutes with no real difficulties.
