Help with Rear fender Rail problem for 1995 FLSTC

Default Help with Rear fender Rail problem for 1995 FLSTC
Hey There....

I am desperately trying to find a rear fender rail for a 1995 FLSTC. I had one fitted, but it knackered and gave up the ghost due to our crappy british weather.....

....I have found a Harley replacement, but it only fits 2000 FLSTC's upwards....does anybody know what the difference is? Can this item be manipulated to fit my bike?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
