They should bring it back. Not everyone wants to pay for all the chrome and extras you get these days when they are just going to take it all off anyway.
My response would be that the reason why they don't bring the softail back, is because there are so many of them to be had, rather cheaply too.. which would be good for you if they're your thing.
Not only that, but most of the guys that had them including myself have moved on in age and are now riding geezer glides.
