Looking to pick up a set of 2.0s for my new slim. I live in Denver and the air is pretty thin up here. Will this affect the low end torque? I've got a complete stock setup and I've read 2.0 is recommended. Just wanted to see if the altitude might change the recommendations.
Mine didn't run right without some backpressure. I would suggest strongly that you get a high flow air cleaner as well. I'm not familiar with Rush products specifically though. If your recommendation is coming from Rush, I guess I would go with it until someone chimes in that knows more.
Since then I've talked with Rush Techs several time and now if U do pipes only their saying it'd prob be better for low end if U just go with the 1 3/4''ers.
My bike was the first set of Rush pipes installed and tuned at our Dealer.
I knew I was going to install cams and that's why I went ahead with the 2''ers.
Still have then on the bike.. not the best overall in looks or Performance VS some other full systems, like most all slip-ons, but I love the sound of them and still have them on. Going on now for 6yrs and 41k miles and they still look like new and their quality is great.
I'll also add they are one of the best in helping customers.. both before and after buying their products..
Ecko57 I have rush slipons with the 2" baffles. We did a colorado trip 2 years ago, Durango to Silverton to Ouray and other areas. I had no performance problems at all, the bike performed perfectly at any elevation. I did though have it Dynoed before we left Vegas.
Hoe this helps.
