I have the standard Harley windshield on the FB and it works great but I have never liked the look of it. Does anyone make a fairing style windshield for softails? I am thinking tinted at the bottom with a fade to clear at the top. Never seen one, just wondered if it was out there. thanks for any guidance.
Kuryakyn makes one; however, it is not a quick detach. Turn signals also need to be relocated. It is also pricy though I don't know if you can purchase it without the stereo. I never asked them after learning their "detachable" fairing doesn't fit the Fatboy Lo.
You're looking for a batwing fairing I think? If you go that route you're most likely going to have to relocate your front signals. Pain in the *** but very doable. I paid something like $350 to have it shipped up to my igloo in Canada. The thing goes on and comes off in 30 seconds. Had it for 2 years now and no complaints and lot's of compliments.

That looks pretty good and much cheaper than the Kuryakyn. Of course, the Kuryakin has the stereo set up. Is that with the 5" windshield. Without locking kit too I am assuming.

Wouldn't need a quick detach for that...I would never take it off...lol. Looks great!!!!

That looks great. Wish that was available for the blackline.

Ya it has the 5" windshield with a quick disconnect kit that doesn't lock onto the forks. I honestly don't ride with it on all that much, usually when I hit the hi-way to get the hell out of town. No stereo, but to me listening to the pipes beats listening to tunes. The bugs up here are as big as a babies fist.
I'm sure you could get it to work with the blackline's, you'd just have to be willing to put the time and effort in to mod it into working No better feeling then taking something that they said couldn't be done and proving them all wrong I'm in the same boat right now designing and building a new license plate bracket to come off the axle. Our province up here has goofy sized plates for bikes and the moco basically has left us high and dry in Alberta.
