Winter's mod.....less list :(
Thanks a TON guy's for the kind words and support. To be honest all of these replies I recieved are far from what I thought I would get! I was sure I was going to get a reaming from everyone rather than support. Who knows, maybe the good Lord has the lottery in my future! Back to reality now, I am not sorry for my choices. Like I said before, my kids Mother was into anything and everything that wasn't good for her and thats why I went back to court to get custody 10 years ago and raise them alone. Sadly I was right, they found her dead last year from an overdose. I am all my kids have and I know it. I couldn't look in the mirror nor enjoy my bike if I did do all those mods knowing they were hurting anyway, It's no biggie. There is not allot of anything I do that I don't think of my kids. I have been blessed in many way's and I consider it a blessing to have the job I have and to be able to help them. I know there are many who are far less fortunate. There is nothing wrong with the bike I have and the way it sits now so again I am blessed. I am sure I will sneak a little in here and there. If there is something I can do to my bike as I am helping the kids, fine. If not, thats fine too. Have a GREAT day guy's!
You definitely have your head screwed on straight. Your boys were truly blessed to have you as a father. I'm grateful to you also for all the help you have been to this forum and to me via PM's. Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family. Rick
Hey Rick, I did get down to the shop here a while back and seen your bike down there on the lift. Thats a nice bike and a nice cruiser too Dude! I am sure you and the wife are going to have tons of fun on it next summer too. I hope you have been pleased with the shop. I'm not sure what all you had done this last go around but it sure looked nice sitting there.
Dude,
I have the utmost respect for you as a parent. You have fought adversity in the past and are head to head with it again. You have, by far, stepped up to the plate for your children.
Now, I've read ALL the previous posts and I guess I'll be the first dose of reality.
I don't know how old your son is but he (and his girlfriend) can't expect grandpa to support them outright (room, board, medical expenses, gasoline, vehicle maintenance, etc). It is time for him to step up to the plate and be responsible for the situation he got himself into.
To get to the point, he needs to start looking for a second job. Yeah, I know the economy is tough and jobs are hard to find but they are out there. It is, after all, holiday time. UPS is hiring thousands of people, Walmart is hiring lots of people, he can deliver pizzas. People eat a sh!tload of pizzas this time of year. Also, the Superbowl is around the corner and more pizzas are ordered on Superbowl day than any other day. Bottom line; he needs to find a second job...ANY job!
You've said that it takes you 8-10 hours to detail that AWESOME Deluxe you have. I'm almost positive he would love to do that for you so grandpa can relax after working his butt off to support his children.
I hope I wasn't too harsh. Stay well. All the best to your son and his girlfriend. I hope all pregnancy complications are resolved. Happy Holidays.

You're a good man, Tony. Hope all works out.
As I've said before, yours is one of the sweetest bikes in here, so even though you won't be able to do your latest round of mods, you still have a great ride. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Hey Bone Doc, no worries at all. I can assure you of this, if he was a lazy bum laying around help from me would be the last thing these 2 get from me. My son works out where I work. The only difference is I work for the company and make 37.00 an hour and he works for a contractor for 12 an hour. I get 5 or 600 hours of overtime a year he gets none. Funny you mention pizza's because before he got this job that was what he did for a living. He contacted his old boss last week to see if he can deliever pizza's again on his off day's. She buses tables 7 days a week. My daughter, who has nothing to do with this has 3 job's. She runs an office by day and tends bar and cleans businesses here in town at night. My kiids through me seen there is only one way to get what you want and to stay ahead of the game and that is by working. I have seen kids who have not had to go through 1/10 of what my kids have had to go through and not make it out the other end alive, clean and or sober. I only help them because they are trying so hard to help themselves. All of us with kids have so much to be thankful for even though at times it is so very hard and trying. Bone Doc, you have said nothing wrong nor have you pissed me off. I believe in everything you have said and I agree with it as well. I help my kids because they try so very hard to help themselves and because I an fortunate enough to make the kind of money I make and to be able to help them. My kids got NOTHING handed to them and they never will. Thanks for all the kind words and support and yea, I think I have a fairly nice bike the way it is. I just like to tinker and to create art and I just use my bike as canvass.
