Not intending to highjack your thread but what is the benefit of going from 16's to 18" anyway? I like the big fat tire look on these types of bikes so if I ever changed to anything it would be from my 16's to an 18.
Your bike begs for chrome although a little contrast is nice. I don;t think that you have enough black parts on your bike to justify the black spokes. Just my opinion.

I think it will look good either way...Chrome tho is always good. Plus if you ever got the itch to change again or even sell...chrome appeals to more people. I am seriously considering fat spokes but the thought of cleaning them makes me cringe. Had them on my Evo...mag is so easy to clean and never tighten. But fatspoke look so d**n good.
To me the 18" was good because it opens up the wheel without giving up the beefy 140 tire. Plus it fits well under the stock fender.
This is exactly my reason too. (though I have a 130 up front). It opens the front end up real nice, but not to the extreme a 21" would do. (though that's nice too). 16" just look all tire to me.
A good compromise to keep some meat up front and still give it a custom look. Plus, I'm afraid the crappy roads around here would eat up a 21" in no time.
I have a 2012 softail deluxe. I'm buying new wheels on eBay. I'm putting a 21x3 on the front. I know I'll have to raise the fender. The stock rear is a 16x?.... I've found a set on eBay that has a 21x3 for the front and an 18x3.5 for the rear. Will I have to do any modifications to the rear to pit that 18x3.5 on it.
