I'm new to Harleys and so far have been a bit surprised with the engineering. Based on my history I will probably be removing the tank fairly regularly. Has anyone tried this product?

Other then the color It looks like it will work well.

it looks cool but i have to wonder if it will be difficult to stop the gas from flowing once they are disconnected.

in a perfect world there would be a shut off to with a disconnect

I've seen some nicer ones made out of metal. Can't remember where, but a good google search should net some results.

I think it would be ugly.

It takes 10 minutes to empty the tank and remove it. Looks like more work than its worth to me.

DO NOT get the plastic ones, they can and do break. Yes I tried one. I use the metal ones now.

That's a great idea... but that is 14" long... mine is more like 5-6" long. I did find this at the same site, tho:

Buy cheap, buy twice.
Get a metal one. You can always rough up the exposed finish and rattle can it black.
Just re-touch the paint if it's marred during removal/re-installing.
