Snosrap03, thanks I had intended to move to Chrome rims and just purchased a set as I needed a new front wheel. But I do like the idea of running a 200 series tire in the back. Mt Slim is a 2012 with 1647 miles on it. I would still be interested if you are... Lets take this to a PM.
I have a set of wheels off a 2010 CROSSBONES and a brand new stock Dunlop for the rear wheel. 8,000 miles on the wheels, normal wear and tear with 2 small scratches on the front wheel. 0 miles on the tire. Interested ?
If you still have the 17X6 Crossbones rear rim, I am looking for one.... thanks....

Hello Gents
I resurrecting this thread.
I own a 2008 crossbones. I want to swap my rear wheel (200) for a rear 16 wheel. Does anyone know if its possible to swap wheels with a softail slim rear wheel using existing bearings, spacers...I've seen pictures of it and want to try it out. Thanks.

Hi Sando -
I am hoping to do the same to one of my X'bones, but many other projects and medical bills take priority, so it's going to be a while.
In my case it might be better to use a wheel off a Deluxe of the same era. I think that will mean sacrificing 20mm in tyre width. The deluxe is 180mm - have you considered that?
I will be checking back from time to time to see.....
Best Regards,
Peggers
