Default Tour Pak cost

Am I missing something here or did someone pay $870 for a used Tour Pak when the new cost is around $800?

I was watching the same auction on ebay until the price went above $600. I was surprised at the final / winning bid! Go figure!

Well it looks like I'm not missing anything.

It's amazes me sometimes when people fail to research the cost of something before they bid on things at auctions.
