Posting this for a friend who has a 2007 Fatboy. He just purchased a tinset and turns out its a 2011 tank and fender set. Everything looks the same except the 2011 doesnt seem to have a vent tube anywhere and there is a bolt sticking up where efi would go inside tank.
Will this still fit if he used a vented gas cap? Im attaching both tanks so you can see the green tank has a bolt and the yellow has none inside efi cutout.
Thanks for any advise.
I put an 08 tank on my 07 fxstc & the fuel float bracket won't fit cause newer ones had a smaller clip. The front wheel is offset with 07 also. I think the offset affected fat boy also. 07 was a messed up year. Good luck.
Not with out a complete new Fuel injection system. I have an 07 Heritage with 09 tins and had to replace everything in the tank. I spoke with 3 different shops and there is no way around it.
