I may be wrong but he may be not wanting something like these. The brackets is the first thing I see that screams not custom.

decencyxdefied- Have you looked into a local fab shop and getting a quote on a nice custom one? That way you could specify exactly what you want. Material, diameter, maybe some sort of cool looking gusset so it can still be functional etc etc. Just a thought. For 300 smackers or so that these ebay places are getting, I'd say that would be feesable or close to it and be your idea with a better looking mounting brackets. Maybe spend another hundo and have something unique. Option for chrome, or powder coat, clear coat or whatever you want can be done after that. Just some idea's for you.
