Looking to verify a couple dimensions on a 00-later Softail detachable side plates.
I have a rigid plate and need to verify if the detachables have the same bolt pattern and what the offset is on the vertical.
The rigid plate has a 9.25" center on the mounting holes, and I believe the detachable have a 1/2" offset to the outside.
Please verify or set me straight.
ive got both. they both use the same mounting holes, and the offset is the same on both. not sure what your looking to do, but everthing should be interchangable. steve
Thanks for the reply.
We are developing a new secure side plate to use with out adjustable tourpak mount.
How wide is your sissy bar where it mounts? Do you use the same one for both mounts?
yep...i can mix and match between rigid and detatch, and use either hd sissy bar. i have a very low bar with a small pad, and a taller bar with a larger pad. since i bought the ultra, i run the fatboy solo, and rarely use either. you want the width of the bar, or the side plates?
no problem. i looked around on your site today. you've got some nice looking stuff. you ever think about offering a quick detach set-up, or adjustable set-up for the tour-pacs on the touring models? harley wants a small fortune for them, and if you could beat their price i think you'd have good luck. steve
