I found this air cleaner intake on eBay, anybody has used it?
Chrome Spike Air Cleaner Intake Filter For Harley EFI Twin Cam Rocker Softail ($109)
it doesn't have an item number, so is hard to find more info on it...Im trying to decide on this intake or the Screaming Eagle heavy breather (cone) with chrome cover (Total $500) ...but the price difference is $400. thanks
I bought the exact breather for my 02 Deuce. it works wonderfully!! I couldn't believe it!! its a wimmer heavy breather. google it and you can find out more info on it. there are some knock offs out there so be careful. go to the sellers info and ask them if there is a "W" on the inside cone, if no W is present it is a knockoff, can't say much about it. But if its a wimmer it totally awesome!!!!! I got mine off ebay also so it may b the same kind...let me know what u find out
It looks identical to the Wimmer, but wimmer is high dollar just like Harley. If you can get a Wimmer for that price.... jump all over it for sure. Unfortunately I looked at that listing and it is shipping out of China. That is a knock off in my opinion. Unless it states wimmer as mfg.
Also, if it doesn't work out and you decide to go with a little more expensive set up. I recommend wimmer over SE breather. I replaced my SE heavy breather with wimmer set up and I like it better in terms of options and show quality looks. It's minute, but there for the seeing eye.
Yeah I wouldn't take a chance on anything that's not the real thing! I couldn't believe that I found mine on ebay and it was real. The wimmer products are unbelievable I was at there Myrtle Beach SC shop a while back and it's amazing what there products can do to a bike. I worked magic on my deuce! good luck finding one!!
