I have a slim fls and being a newer model it is hard to find parts and accessories, I was wonder about seats windshields crash bars etc from the fatboys deluxe heritage etc, if the parts will fit my slim?? Especially the windsheild and seats. I am currently looking for a fairing and there are lots out there for the other models!
I've found that a trip to the dealer is your best bet for these kinds of things. Seats, in particular, have different width mounts, so you never no and you can bet if you guess, you'll guess wrong...

I have a 2012 slim and i am changing the seat on it along with the fenders. i am going to the deluxe fenders and struts. i wanted to use the stock seat on my slim but ended up looking at the back of the seat and the struts line up different. so i ended up going with a different solo seat.

Okay thanks, why are you changing to a deluxe fender ? Just looks ?
You'll probably find that most stealerships will quote 'the book' chapter & verse. If the book doesn't say a part will fit your model, then they will tell you it doesn't fit. Period.
As an example, I was sick to take delivery of my 2012 Deluxe with Heritage Fender Rails fitted. The stealer told me they wouldn't fit (After taking my cash!) and offered a credit against other bling! Thanks to this forum (And a chance meeting with Thelawnmowerman) I got them to fit easily with no modification. Incidentally, the installation instructions on this part tells you to drill the fender (Arghhh!), but again, thanks to the Forum there's a better way around it.
The list is endless: Freight Train Nacelle, Heritage Springer Saddlebag Guards, etc., etc., all fit a Deluxe (As an example) if you've got the will.
My advice would be to select the component, then double-check by asking on here. The Forum is invaluable for tips like this.
