Rain and mountains, (and more rain) he's headed to the right place.

And hippies... lots and lots of hippies.

I kid, I love visiting BC. I don't think I'd want to live in the LMD, but it's always fun to get out that way.

what would be really helpful is information on whether this is doable considering road conditions, weather, daily ride times, fuel stops, also cell phone service etc.etc. and anything else you think might be relevant.

thanks in advance

Threadstopper -- 1/2 of what you have mapped out I have never been nor do I ever plan to go lol. (mainly the northern section)

Calgary to McBride - nice scenic ride for sure - don't speed in the parks and look out for lots of tourists/ wildlife

McBride to Ft.St John Some nice easy cruising should see lots of bears they cut the side brush/ trees pretty far back from the road up there so lots of time to see wildlife "jumping out at you"

The whole "upper section" of your map - keep aware of fuel and fill up whenever you can these northern towns will usually have signs telling you how far till next gas station. Also there is a good possibity of no cell service in lots of these areas.

Green River to Osoyoos avoid going right through Vancouver --- busy, busy traffic / delays etc. expect it all lol
This leg will have a lot of different conditions ranging from traffic to major elevation changes

Osoyoos to Sparwood should be pretty fun nice mountain roads / curves good scenery, elevation changes etc..

Sparwood to Calgary pretty boring/ windy (especially through the crows nest pass)

In your lower section keep an extra eye out for tourists (especialy Euros in motor homes and Alberta drivers that slow right down in the mountian curves where you can't pass them and then floor it on the straight streches so you can't pass them there either lol)
ps; not all Alberta drivers - just a lot of them lol

Over all your trip is going to be an experience - be ready for rain / cold weather/ hot weather etc.. - typical stuff but a lot of these changes may happen during each leg of your trip.

Best of luck and have fun.
