well a few weeks back i was looking at buying a 05 Deluxe...and i just could not seem to picture myself on on being 6'2 245...so i passed on it..well Wednesday i was looking at CL and found a one owner 03 Fatboy Silver/Black gold key with 6900 miles on it. I went and looked at it and this thing is clean has mirrow chrome wheels, all the swing arm is chromed..very nice bike..picking it up tomorrow this will be my first softail....
Congrats. You'll need to set the shocks up a little stiffer than the factory soft setting.
There are some pretty good threads detailing the adjustment.
In my opinion the 100th anniversary is the best looking paint job on a Harley! The silver/black and great tank medallion go perfectly together. The two tone paint is what made me decide to buy my bike in two seconds...total impulse purchase I don't regret making. Once you go Fat you will never go back!
And from that pic it looks like it's in pristine condition. Good luck and ride safe!

Congratulations, nice bike in the picture!
Im curious though why you could not see yourself on the Deluxe being 6'2' and 245 the Deluxe and the Fatboy are exactly the same bike except for 1" rear height and the seat and bars. if you though you were to big for the Deluxe it will be the same on the Fatboy...

the deluxe just looked smaller...it had a sundowner seat on it felt like i was pushed forward to far...and the bars sucked...i really didnt want to buy a bike and spend money out of the gate on comfort items... the Fatboy seems to fit me better...i guess because i am a fat boy..
