Default Carburetor compatibility question

I have a friend with a 1989 FXRS who is in need of a carburetor. He is looking for the stock CV carb. I am pretty sure that the stock carburetor on Harley Davidsons was the same since 1989, but I want to be certain before I sell him something he can't use. I tried a google search, but I still couldn't find an answer. Will the stock CV carb from my 2002 Heritage work for his bike, assuming the jets are changed for his setup? All he's done to his bike is change the exhaust. Thanks in advance for your help with this silly question!
. (I'm sure someone will think that, so... there it is. That's me on the right)
Oh, and what would be a fair price? It is a complete unit, and still functioned perfectly when I removed it last March.

Default mostly

the '89 is an Evo and the 2002 is a Twinkie. I had a question like this in mind a few years ago when I saw a bike for cheap but needed a carb. The manifolds would be the only iffy area but I did not find anything on the CV carb. The model I have is a s&s Super-e and the intake manifolds look the same but they show different 'complete kit' numbers on jpcycles. This did not answer your question but I would go so far as to install the carb on his bike and let her rip. The manifold may only be too small as the Evo is marginally smaller (dimensionally) than the Twin Cam.

A fair price??? eh, I wouldn't buy a new one from the stealership but an used super-e or hsr42 go for $350ish all day long on craigslist. You gotta figure a stocker would be 55-60% of that. No?
