Got an 06 fxst with black tins and the grey engine..im slowly making things chrome as i go along...however i got a hell of a deal on a sissy bar and it should be in today..its black and my struts r chrome..do yall think its gonna stick out too much..im also ordering some rivco frame mounted highway pegs and have he same delima..black to match the frame or chrome

With chrome struts I'd prefer chrome sissy as well but thats me. It wouldn't look bad black either though.
Good choice with black and chrome its the best combo (thats fact not opinion lmao)

 

Long time ago I had the Black Quick detach on the Chrome struts
It looked OK and will look good on yours

 

I personally try for the holy grail of contrast. It's all about finding that perfect balance between black/powder coat and chrome. If you hate it you can have the struts powder costed or the sissy bar sent off for chrome
