Default Softail handling.......

This is my ride .........looks good it handles like a cheap 5$ hooker..thinking of going with shotgun air ride but way out of my leaugue......so i was thinking of progresive 422 ....any other suggestions?

Save the coin and get the SS's.
You will be money ahead as when you do install the SS's your going to ask yourself "WHY DID I GO WITH THE 422's"

My Fatboy handled terribly until I added some preload to the shocks. Handles fine now.

422's would be my choice if not going with a shotgun.

Yeah shotguns are great....but 422 are half the price and here in europe they are very expensive...abd with a baby on the way im short on cash.......

Keep your eye on ebay. Every now and then a good deal pops up on a nice used set of 422's.

Drop the front 2" and it'll handle a whole lot better.

What is it you're after in handling? Stock softails will handle OK up to the point where they run out of cornering clearance, and start grounding hard parts. Not much point in going beyond that. Sure, they require a different driving technique than a lighter bike.
