Default Removing V&H baffles

I have an injected 06 Deuce with V&H Big Radius 2-into-2 exhaust. The previous owner installed baffles in them and they are too tame for me now. Are they easily removable? Will it affect how the bike runs and performs meaning more expense and adjustments?

They're pretty easy to remove..I don't recall if you have to remove the heatshields on the BR's, but they're just held in by 1 bolt on the outside of the pipes (in the back). They're about 13" long, and curved.

Removing them, however, will cause you to lose back-pressure to the engine, and therefore you'll lose power

Get some decel pop too. You can try cutting the baffle in half. Many options available.

I ran them with and without. Baffles cut in half ended up being the ticket for me. Better sound and without the popping on decell without the baffles.

I hate the decel pop without baffles. I suppose that some people like it though.
Crazy people.

I never had any decel pop on mine. If you pull them and want to sell them, hit me up. I would like baffles in mine. My 2 into 1 is too quiet and my BR is too loud <yes Im old> and I leave the house at 4:30a.m.. I think baffles would be a happy medium.

I agree you don't want to remove them completely. Mine didn't have baffles in them when I got the bike and the decel pop drove me nuts. I put baffles in and the bike sounds and runs a whole lot better.

I snatched mine out. The top one is a total B! t CH to get out. I sprayed some lubricant in there and just kept working at it. The bottom one just fell out. Yes, you have to remove the rear heatshield to get to the allen screw inboard of the pipe.

As far as sound, I love it, wouldn't go back to baffles of any sort. In my case I had a lot of popping on decel with the baffles in which didn't really bother me. After baffles removed it turned to this wicked rumble sound. Performance...didn't notice anything different. I have the baffles that came out of my V&H BR 2 to 2 if anybody wants them, I will sell them.

Thanks guys. It sounds like I should remove them and take it for a spin. If the decal pop is too much then try cutting them in half and see how that works.
